How do I keep my child safe while using oxygen therapy?

Do not smoke, and keep the oxygen away from any open flame or heat. Also, secure oxygen carts in a safe place or attach them to a wall. Oxygen is safe when used properly and does not burn on its own. If you use it as directed you should not have any problems. Talk to your child's doctor about any safety concerns you have.
