How does hydrocodone and chlorpheniramine interact with other medications?

Taking the combination of hydrocodone-chlorpheniramine, along with other medications that cause similar side effects, can make the side effects more severe. Alcohol also makes side effects worse. These side effects include dizziness and drowsiness. Before starting the medication, tell your doctor if you are taking a barbiturate, cimetidine, ketorolac, naltrexone, sodium oxybate (GHB), rifampin, risperidone, hydantoins or mexiletine.
