How does fluticasone nasal work?

Fluticasone belongs to a family of drugs, known as corticosteroids. These drugs mimic the effects of the natural steroids that signal to cells to produce fewer inflammatory proteins. Clinically, the result is decreased nasal congestion, runny nose, postnasal drip, nasal itching, sneezing and throat itching.
