How can clemastine treat a cold?

Clemastine is an antihistamine that works by blocking the effects of histamine on your eyes and nose. Clemastine is mainly used to treat allergy symptoms but in some cases can be used to reduce symptoms of the common cold. The common cold is caused by a virus that affects the upper respiratory tract.
