Do I still need to use my relief-inhaler if I am using Flovent Diskus?

The medicine in Flovent Diskus does not work immediately. Because of this, it should not be used if you have an acute flare-up of your asthma. Keep your quick-relief inhaler (such as albuterol or salbutamol) nearby. Also, make sure it still has doses available and that it hasn't expired. If an asthma attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler as prescribed.
