Will my child need oxygen therapy for the rest of his life?

How long your child needs oxygen therapy depends on why he needs oxygen therapy. If your child has a lung problem or disease, he may require oxygen into adulthood. If he needs oxygen when he has an infection, or his lung condition flares up, he may be able to cut back as his condition gets better. Talk to your child's doctor about how long your child will require oxygen therapy.
