How should I cleanse my skin if I have plaque psoriasis?

If you have been diagnosed with plaque psoriasis, your dermatologist may suggest you clean your skin with mild a soap or cleanser because the affected skin may burn or itch. Generally, with plaque psoriasis, you may need to bathe daily in Epsom salts, bath oil or oatmeal to calm the redness and remove the scales.

Plaque psoriasis symptoms may vary. Treatment depends on the severity of this skin condition. Your doctor or dermatologist can determine what treatment plan is best for your condition.
