What are common prostate problems?

Common prostate problems such as enlargement can affect urination, says Jayram Krishnan, DO, a urologist at Sunrise Hospital. In this video, he explains how this can lead to urinary tract problems.
The most common prostate problem in men is benign prostate hypertrophy (or hyperplasia), called BPH, which is enlargement of the prostate gland. This is extremely common and occurs in 40% to 50% of men ages 51 to 60, and in 80% of men over age 80. Therefore, if you are male and live long enough, it is likely you will develop BPH.
