Are non-surgical procedures effective in treating prostate diseases?

Several non-surgical procedures have proven effective for treating prostate diseases. If you have a bacterial infection, your first step will be to take a two-to-four week course of antibiotics. If you have benign prostatic hyperplasia, you may have to take drugs such as alpha blockers, which relax your muscles and alleviate your symptoms.
