Statistical tools called prostate cancer risk calculators, or nomograms, offer help in understanding the nature of a particular tumor (indolent vs. aggressive) and guidance in making treatment decisions. Two such tools can be accessed online. Note that risk calculators have limitations and should be used in consultation with a physician who can offer advice on treatment decisions.

Prostate Cancer

One of the most common cancers among men, prostate cancer can be very aggressive and spread to your bones and other organs. Cancer usually develops very slowly in the prostate gland, which produces fluid that helps create a man's semen. If found early, when the cancer is confined only to the gland, prostate cancer is very treatable.
