Prolactinoma can affect both men and women, but it affects the sexes somewhat differently. Some of the symptoms - such as infertility, vision problems, and headaches - may affect both sexes, but obviously some of the symptoms are different for men than for women. Men may experience erectile dysfunction, while women experience a loss of menstruation and unusual production of breast milk. Also, women are affected by prolactinoma far more commonly than men are affected.
