Who should take megestrol?

Megestrol is prescribed for people with advanced breast cancer or advanced endometrial cancer to relieve symptoms. It is also sometimes prescribed to relieve symptoms for people with endometriosis and endometrial hyperplasia. Megestrol is also prescribed for people with AIDS, cancer and other serious chronic conditions that cause appetite loss and weight loss.
