What are the side effects of Megace?

Severe side effects requiring immediate medical attention that may result from taking Megace include: vomiting, slow or difficult speech, difficulty breathing, sharp, crushing pain or heaviness in your chest, general weakness or weakness in one arm or leg, leg pain or swelling, fluid retention, heightened blood pressure, blurred vision, dizziness or allergic reactions (swollen face, lips or tongue, itching and skin rash or hives).

Other side effects of Megace, such as extreme thirst or hunger, nausea, diminished sexual desire, impotence, unexpected vaginal bleeding, hot flashes or flushing, gas, rash and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, are less serious.
