What forms of megestrol are available?

Megestrol is available as a tablet, as an oral liquid (suspension) or as a concentrated liquid (sold as Megace ES). Your doctor will prescribe the form that is best for you. If you use the oral liquid, be sure to shake the container well before measuring out your dose. If you switch from the regular liquid to the concentrated liquid, your dose and how often you take the drug will change.
