Are there any risks in taking Megace?

Megace may pose a risk to a developing fetus or nursing infant if taken by pregnant or breastfeeding women. People with diabetes who take Megace may need to speak with their doctors about changing their diet or adjusting the dosage of their diabetic medications, as Megace may alter blood sugar levels. Megace should be used with caution by people with a history of a stroke or blood clots. There is a risk of allergic reaction to Megace.
