What should I avoid while taking Megace?

While taking Megace (megestrol), avoid taking other medications that may adversely interact with Megace, including dofetilide, carbamazepine, indinavir, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone, rifampin and warfarin. Do not become pregnant or begin breastfeeding while on this medication. People with diabetes who take Megace may need to speak with their doctors about changing their diet or dose of diabetic medications, as Megace may alter blood sugar levels.
