How does megestrol suspension interact with other medications?

Megestrol acetate oral suspension may interact with other medications. When used with rifampin or indinavir, the effectiveness of megestrol suspension may be reduced. Dofetilide and megestrol suspension, when used together, may increase risk of developing a heart problem such as arrhythmia. In general, you should keep your doctor informed about all medications that you are taking, or intend to take, while using megestrol acetate oral suspension.
