How does megestrol interact with other medications?

Megestrol can interact with certain antidiabetic medications and with the drug indinavir (Crixivan), which is used to treat AIDS. Your doctor may need to watch you carefully for side effects. You may need to change the dose of some of your other drugs. If you take indinavir, you may need a larger dose. Be sure to tell your doctor about all prescription drugs and nonprescription substances you take, including supplements, herbs and vitamins.
