How does progesterone injection interact with other medications or food?

Some medications might interact with progesterone injection and should be avoided or used with caution in combination with it. Problem medicines may include bosentan, St. John's wort, anti-seizure medicines like carbamazepine, antifungal medicines like itraconazole and antibiotics like rifabutin. You should tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, vitamins and herbal remedies that you take before starting on progesterone.
