Treatment options for chorioamnionitis include drug therapy and delivery of the baby. Antibiotic drugs such as gentamicin and ampicillin may be administered because these medications are effective against the different types bacteria that cause chorioamnionitis. Other antibiotic drugs may also be used as necessary. If labor hasn't begun already, your doctor may induce labor to get your delivery started.
