How can a low lying placenta resolve itself?

If you have been told that your placenta is low lying and not blocking the cervix, then there's a good chance that this won't end up being an issue. As your developing baby gets bigger, so does your uterus. This enlargement allows the placenta to "move" with the uterus, and it very well may shift away from the cervix altogether. Yet, if time goes by, and the placenta is still in the low lying position, then the condition may signal problems at delivery.
