How can industrial waste poisoning affect children?

Industrial waste poisoning can affect children in a few different ways. Some studies have shown that young children and babies are more susceptible to certain chemicals than their parents. For example, if exposed to vinyl chloride, a child's growth and development may be affected. In many instances, children do not respond in the same way as adults do when they come in contact with toxic chemicals. Caring for children with signs of industrial waste poisoning may be different than caring for adults.
