Is a pituitary tumor serious for children?

If left untreated-a pituitary tumor can be serious for children. Because a child is still growing-their growth may be stunted because of the tumor. Children with these tumors can wind up shorter than they otherwise may have been. A pituitary tumor can also slow puberty and sexual development in teenagers.
