In general, your chances of developing a pituitary disorder are not great. They are not common conditions that usually affect older adults. However, if you have a family history of a condition known as multiple endrocrine neoplasia, type I (MEN I), then your chances of developing a pituitary disorder increase. If that is the case, you should undergo a genetic test for the disorder.
