Is dysprosody serious?

Very little is known about dysprosody and its affects on the body. What is known is that this rare neurological speech disorder affects the way a person speaks, usually changing the rhythm and melody of their speech so they sound as if they have a foreign accent. Other than this, dysprosody should not change the way a person communicates and understands language or affect their ability to participate in normal daily activities.
