Spastic paralysis is a symptom of damage to motor neurons, which creates limited movement of arms and legs. This damage can be caused by cerebral palsy or through an inherited genetic mutation. Currently there is no cure for these conditions, but symptoms can be managed with regular physical therapy. Drugs and surgery can also help alleviate symptoms for people whose condition was caused by cerebral palsy.
