Are there alternative treatments for mobility impairments?

People who suffer from mobility impairments as a result of illness, injury, birth defect, or old age tend to use physical therapy to help them recover their mobility. However, some might try alternative treatments in addition to therapy. Yoga, for instance, might help increase the body's range of motion. Massage, meanwhile, can help loosen up muscles. However, these activities are not recommended as a replacement for physical therapy, and if you have a physically restrictive ailment, you should consult your doctor before attempting them.
