What research is being done regarding phobias?

Currently, there is research being done to test the effectiveness of new drug therapies on the anxiety symptoms related to many phobias. Drugs that affect the serotonin in the brain are often used. Now, researchers would like to see if drugs that affect other chemicals in the brain can increase effectiveness when combined with traditional drug therapy.
