Who should not be treated with Kyprolis?

There are no conditions that automatically mean you cannot be treated with the anticancer drug Kyprolis (carfilzomib), although experts say that use of this drug should be avoided during pregnancy if possible.

Researchers aren't sure whether Kyprolis passes into breast milk, but because of the potential for serious harm to nursing infants, a breastfeeding woman should talk with her doctor about its potential risks and benefits before starting treatment.

Discuss treatment options with your doctor if you have a history of heart failure or heart attack.
