What should I avoid while taking Onfi?

While taking the anti-seizure drug Onfi (clobazam), you should avoid:

• driving or operating any complex machinery until you know how Onfi affects you. It may cause sleepiness, dizziness, clumsiness or slow your reaction time, possibly increasing your risk for accidents
• drinking alcohol, which can worsen Onfi's side effects
• taking other medications, especially drugs that depress your central nervous system, herbal remedies, or supplements, without consulting your doctor first
• stopping the drug without talking to your doctor, as this can cause serious withdrawal symptoms, including severe seizures

You should also avoid becoming pregnant while taking Onfi, as it may reduce the effectiveness of hormonal methods of birth control, including pills, patches, rings, injections, implants and certain intrauterine devices (IUDs). Ask your doctor about the best way to prevent pregnancy while taking Onfi.
