Trovan is a brand name prescription antibiotic that was used to treat bacterial infections. It is no longer available in the United States, but when Trovan was available, it came as a tablet that was taken orally. The same form was available under the generic name trovafloxacin. It is an antibiotic in the fluorquinolone class that works by killing underlying bacteria causing infection. Talk to your doctor if you took Trovan in the past and are suffering from side effects.
