What is morrhuate?

Morrhuate is the generic name of a medication called Scleromate. This prescription medication is injected by a doctor to eliminate or partially close primary varicose veins, which are enlarged veins that are not moving blood properly. Morrhuate causes inflammation within the vein. This leads to the formation of a blood clot and the development of fibrous tissue that reduces the size of the vein.
