What is Mesoridazine?

Mesoridazine is no longer available in the United States.

Mesoridazine (Serentil) is a psychiatric tranquilizer that was originally used to reduce psychosis in people with schizophrenia, but has since been removed from the US market because it produced life-threatening abnormal heart rhythms and other heart problems. If you are still taking mesoridazine, you should call your doctor to discuss alternative treatments for your schizophrenia.
