Inderide is a high blood pressure medication that is made up of two drugs, hydrochlorothiazide and propranolol. Hydrochlorothiazide is a type of diuretic (water pill) that prevents the body from absorbing too much salt, which can lead to fluid retention. Propranolol is a beta blocker that dilates blood vessels and blocks the affects of adrenaline on the body. Inderide is available only by prescription. It should not be used to treat high blood pressure in people who also have asthma, severe heart block, heart failure, or sick sinus syndrome. Inderide comes in tablet form.
