Efalizumab is no longer available in the United States.

Efalizumab is a prescription medication used for treatment of chronic plaque psoriasis. It is only used in people who cannot be treated with topical medications. Efalizumab is an immunosuppressant and works by blocking cells from causing symptoms of the condition. This medication comes in the form of a powder that is mixed with some sterile water and then injected beneath the skin. The brand name of this medication is Raptiva. Raptiva is no longer available within the United States.
