What is dyphylline?

Dyphylline is no longer available in the United States.

Dyphylline (sold under the brand name Lufyllin) is a medication to treat breathing problems associated with lung diseases, such as emphysema, asthma and chronic bronchitis. It helps you breathe better by relaxing the chest and lung muscles, which helps open up your airways. Dyphylline also helps your diaphragm draw in more air. The brand name of the liquid form of dyphylline is Dylix.
