What is Cinobac?

Cinobac is no longer available in the United States.

Cinobac is a prescription antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections. It is dispensed orally and is ineffective in treating any other infection, flu, or viruses. Cinobac has been proven to also prevent urinary tract infections for as long as five months in women who are prone to recurrent infections. Cinobac is the brand name version of the drug, which is also available under the generic name cinoxacin. This medication is for adults only and not recommended for children under the age of 18 years.
