Cerivastatin is no longer available in the United States.
Cerivastatin is a prescription medication used to lower cholesterol in the blood. The medication also raises the levels of so-called "good cholesterol" and reduces LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides, another form of fat, in the blood. Cerivastatin blocks the production of cholesterol in the body. The brand name of cerivastatin is Baycol. The medication is no longer available in the United States and has not been available since 2001.
