What is Atromid-S?

Atromid-S is no longer available in the United States.

Atromid-S is a prescription medication used to lower cholesterol levels. The active ingredient in this drug is clofibrate. Clofibrate can lower triglycerides and very-low-density lipoprotein in the blood. Lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels helps to prevent other medical complications from developing. This medication comes in the form of a liquid filled capsule. Atromid-S is no longer available within the United States.
