What is Apresazide?

Apresazide is a brand name for a combination medicine that contains hydrochlorothiazide and hydralazine. Apresazide is a thiazide diuretic used to treat high blood pressure, also referred to as hypertension. It works by decreasing the amount of water and salt absorbed by the body, which helps relax the blood vessels.  Apresazide belongs to a group of drugs called vasodilators. It is available in oral form. Other brand names for this drug are Hydra-Zide.
