While taking the anti-seizure drug Onfi (clobazam), your child should avoid:
- driving, if she's old enough, or operating complex machinery until you know how Onfi affects her. It may cause sleepiness, dizziness, clumsiness or slow her reaction time, possibly increasing the risk for accidents.
- taking other medications, especially drugs that depress her central nervous system, herbal remedies or supplements without consulting the doctor first
- becoming pregnant, if she's old enough to be sexually active
- drinking alcohol, which can worsen Onfi's side effects
- discontinuing the drug without consulting the doctor. Stopping Onfi abruptly may cause serious withdrawal symptoms, including severe seizures.
