Who should not receive morrhuate sodium?

People who are allergic or hypersensitive to cod liver oil fatty acids or any of the ingredients in morrhuate, should not be given this medication. Your doctor will not use morrhuate to treat superficial varicose veins or certain other conditions affecting your veins. People with uncontrolled diabetes, thyrotoxicosis, tuberculosis, neoplasms, asthma, sepsis, blood dyscrasias, acute respiratory disease or skin diseases should not use morrhuate.
