There is currently no generic version of the anticancer drug Kyprolis (carfilzomib) available. Kyprolis, which treats multiple myeloma, was approved in July 2012. It is meant to be used by people who have not been helped by other treatments. The Food and Drug Administration sped up the approval process so that people with relapsing multiple myeloma who did not benefit from other treatments could receive the Kyprolis.
