How soon after starting Onfi will my child's symptoms improve?

How soon your child's symptoms improve after she begins taking the anti-seizure drug Onfi (clobazam) depends on how her body responds to the medication and the dose she takes.

Your doctor will probably begin with a low dose of Onfi and gradually increase the dose at weekly or longer intervals, while monitoring your child's symptoms. Your doctor will adjust the dose to achieve the greatest benefit and the fewest side effects.

Research shows that during this "titration" period, the frequency of seizures can drop by 29% to 93%. Studies show that after three months on a maintenance dose of Onfi, people experienced a 41% to 68% decrease in seizure frequency, depending on the dose taken.
