How should I take Stribild?

You should take Stribild (elvitegravir, cobicistat, emtricitabine and tenofovir), a prescription medicine used to treat human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1), exactly as your doctor prescribes. A typical dose is one tablet per day with food.

Do not stop taking Stribild or change your dose before talking with your doctor. Do not skip any doses.

Make sure that your supply of Stribild does not run out. If you stop taking this drug for even a few days, the virus might become more difficult to treat.
