How can I minimize the side effects of Zelboraf?

You can minimize your risk of side effects from Zelboraf (vemurafenib) by keeping your doctor and pharmacist fully informed. Tell them about any drug allergies you may have, and give them a complete list of the prescription and nonprescription medications, herbal remedies, and supplements that you take. Keep all of your doctor and lab appointments, as that will help your doctor monitor your response to the drug.

Since Zelboraf may increase your sensitivity to the sun, it's important to wear protective clothing, use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and apply lip balm when you're outdoors.
