MDP Multidose Kit of Technetium Injection, when used with sodium pertechnetate Tc99m injection, has been shown to cause some extreme anaphylactic reactions. Because of this, appropriate medical staff and equipment should be on hand in case of an emergency when it is being used. A bluish color to the skin, itching, loss of consciousness, low blood pressure, rash, shortness of breath, shock and wheezing may all indicate the onset of an anaphylactic episode. If you feel any of these symptoms while undergoing a bone scan using the MDP Multidose Kit of Technetium Injection, notify the medical personnel performing the test immediately. Following treatment with the MDP Multidose Kit of Technetium Injection, it is possible to have a few lingering side effects such as dizziness, itching or rash, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting and weakness. Talk to a doctor if these don't clear up.
