The cancer drug Xalkori (crizotinib) can interact with many drugs, so inform your doctor of all prescription, over-the-counter and herbal remedies that you are taking. For instance, medications that affect the enzyme CYP3A can influence the absorption of Xalkori. They include:
Xalkori may affect the levels of some other drugs you might be taking, such as alfentanil, cyclosporine, dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, fentanyl, pimozide, quinidine, sirolimus and tacrolimus.
- HIV/AIDS drugs, such as atazanavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir and saquinavir
- medications for infection, like clarithromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, telithromycin, troleandomycin and voriconazole
- carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifabutin and rifampin,
- the herbal remedy St. John's wort
