Can I take Xalkori if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

You should not take the cancer drug Xalkori (crizotinib) if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The drug has not been studied in pregnant women, but lab research shows that it can harm a developing fetus. Use contraception while taking the medication and for at least 90 days afterwards.

If you become pregnant, tell your doctor immediately. Nursing moms should speak with their healthcare providers about weaning their baby before taking Xalkori.
