Stribild (elvitegravir, cobicistat, emtricitabine and tenofovir), a prescription medicine used to treat human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1), does not cure this virus, which causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). In order to control HIV-1 infection and decrease illnesses related to HIV-1, you must remain on HIV-1 therapy consistently.

Make sure that your supply of Stribild does not run out. If you stop taking this drug for even a few days, the virus might become more difficult to treat.
